7. Prelims - Wednesday, July 9

This is an optional meet where swimmers can swim up to 3 individual events and will be competing against all swimmers in our Division C - LifeTime, Hills West & Dam West.

This year since we have only 4 teams in our divisions there will be more opportunity to place for Championships.

The top 16 swimmers are eligible for Championships. 2 alternates will also be designated for each event in case of one of the top 16 not being able to swim.

Prelims will be held on 1 day on Wednesday, July 9 at Littleton High School Pool. Since we are only 4 teams we felt it was best to consolidate it to a one day event. It will be 2 different sessions.

Session 1 is the morning session for the 8 & Under and the 13-18 age groups with the meet start time of 8am.

Session 2 is the afternoon session for the 9-10 and 11-12 age groups with the meet start time of 12pm.

Question: My swimmer wants to swim in Prelims but cannot swim in Championships. Is it ok to still sign my swimmer up for Prelims?
Answer: Yes. You will need to let us know and also mark in the notes when you sign (declare) your swimmer for Prelims.

Question: What about relays?
Answer: There are no relays at Prelims, only individual events. There are relays at Championships. Swimmers who did not place in an individual event in Prelims are still eligible to swim in relays at Championships. If a swimmer did not swim in Prelims they can still swim in a relay at Championships.

Question: Do I need to volunteer if my child is swimming at Prelims?
Answer: YES! All swim families who have swimmers participating at Prelims need to volunteer. Swim Families can share shifts as well.

8. Championships Saturday, July 12

As stated above the top 16 swimmers in each event are eligible to swim at Championships. 2 alternates will also be designated in the event one of the swimmers in the top 16 is unable to swim in the meet.

This meet will be held at Hills West Pool. Hills West has 8 lanes so that is why it is the top 16 swimmers. It will be like a regular dual meet but a lot more people and will go longer.

If your swimmer(s) is participating in Championships you will need to volunteer. Swim Families can share shifts as well.
9. End of Season Banquet Sunday, July 13
The last event of our Summer Swim Team season is the End of Season Banquet.
We will start with a potluck dinner and then move into the Coaches giving out awards. Then take photos. Watch a slideshow & play in the pool.
