Q: What if my swimmer does not want to swim in swim meets?

A: It is ok if your swimmer is not yet comfortable swimming in swim meets. We recommend that you bring your swimmer(s) to the first swim meet for the experience. Coaches and older swimmers are allowed to get into the water with a swimmer to provide support. This may mean a disqualification for the swimmer depending on the type of support. However, the important thing is to help the swimmer feel comfortable and want to swim in swim meets. Please note that there is still a Volunteer Requirement for Swim Families to fulfill even if your swimmer(s) does not want to swim in the swim meets.

Q: What if we cannot attend swim meets?

A: It is ok if you cannot attend all swim meets. However, you are still responsible for completing the volunteer requirements. We cannot run Swim Meets without volunteers. It takes a whole team effort; therefore, we have a volunteer requirement. If you cannot attend swim meets - you will not be able to fulfill your volunteer requirement.

Q: What is the Volunteer Requirement?

We require every swim family to agree to a Volunteer Requirement fee (regardless of the number of swimmers a family has on the swim team). The Volunteer Requirement fee is currently $400 (2025 season). This fee is required for swimmers to be approved in the system. The current (2025 season) requirement is for every swim family to complete 3 volunteer shifts. There are some exceptions. If a swim family volunteers in a Volunteer Chair position or is an Officials volunteer then this will cover the volunteer requirements.

Volunteer Chair positions include some of the following:

  1. Parent Representative
  2. Concessions Chair
  3. Team Unify admin
  4. Scoring

An Officials volunteers are the following

  1. Meet Referee
  2. Deck Referee
  3. Starter
  4. Stroke & Turn Judge

The Officials volunteers are required to attend training.

There are also swim families who volunteer above and beyond the requirement and we are so grateful for those who can do so. If a swim family is unable to complete the volunteer requirements, then the volunteer fee is processed on the credit card provided at registration. If a swim family completes the volunteer requirements, then the fee is waived.

Q: What if I have additional questions?

A: Email [email protected]
